Jan. 14th, 2010 11:37 amTheories on the big bad. Working on the "Whedon is kind of predictable" meter of "you aren't supposed to expect it", "it breaks TV rules", and "its supposed to be a gut punch" here are my guesses.

As I mentioned earlier, I don't consider the "I didn't see that coming" news my friends have kindly spared me the details of an actual spoiler. This is a Whedon piece, and one he set up a fixed timeline for. Therefore I expect both scenes from the future we saw to happen but not necessarily mean what we thought they did in context and for at least one switcheroo on the big bad.
The most obvious case for big bad switcheroo is one of the "good guy" cast.

The following is not a review of Episodes 2x03 and 2x04. When melebeth and I used to watch Doctor Who or BSG together au distance we would sync the clock and watch episodes while exclaiming back and forth on IM about the ep. The following is me doing the same exercise sans feedback as I watched the episodes last night. I might offer coherent thoughts next post.

Catching up - Dollhouse 2.01 and 2.02

Hopefully I will soon be at a point where all of you who have had to bite your tongues around me will no longer need to do so. (I don't consider "I didn't see that coming" a real spoiler in a Whedon show, since I *expect* at least one, if not two reveals of new villains and/or changes of character direction.)
