Well, some of it was a surprise. It seemed likely that the Senator's hearing was a ploy to debunk the Dollhouse urban legend and promote Rossum. At first I thought it was going to be Madeline changing testimony, because obviously you can leave a brain print and trigger. The over-hint that the wife was a doll made me suspect the Senator as that plot line moved forward. I didn't expect the "Bennet wired the brain so well it couldn't escape bit."
I didn't expect Bennet to know Caroline, and thought that was a nice twist. Of course, Summer Glau with librarian glasses and looking oddly like s00j is bound to be a fun few episodes. :)
The LA Dollhouse is pretty much falling apart, and I expect Rossum to move against them soon. Echo is out of control and untraceable, Ballard has disappeared, and many Dolls are showing signs of independence in the blank state. (To say nothing of the Alpha incident.) DeWitt flat out threatened the head of the LA Branch.
Dual Tophers was interesting, although now we have more reason to suspect Topher can go nuts and be replaced.
I am going to assume Ballard and Echo find each other, unless Echo finds Saunders which would be interesting.
