Does anyone use Doodle? It strikes me as it might possibly be a good way to schedule actors for a film or such. I thought for a moment it might have the ability to enter availability and cross reference but it seems it is more just a voting mechanism. Am I wrong and it has more features?

i use it to schedule meetings sometimes, and Ubuntu Women uses it to schedule meetings. it sucks for scheduling things cross-time-zone.

I originally thought it would be something more like "Enter your availability" and after everyone does, it shows time blocks everyone is available for. (Sort of a reverse calendar.)

It looks more like a "vote for the time you like" thing.

... not really.... it lets you enter availability and then the moderator can see at a glance what works for everyone.

It does do that?

Because that would make it the ultimate film shoot tool. Put in when the location is available, have everyone enter when they are available, and then be able to instantly figure out what days are worth scheduling.
