Wonder Woman
Aug. 21st, 2010 09:22 pmSo has anyone read Wonder Woman 600?
I can't help but think this is actually like the myth of New Coke - introduce a new version just to make people complain how they want the old one back.
I have to agree that if the new backstory does remove the Amazons and make her just another "all my family is dead/I am the last of my kind" hero, that is kind of disappointing.
As far as the outfit goes, I think I've mentioned before that I prefer something that feels more iconic, but am happy to see the stars and stripes parts toned down, even if Fox News says it is a lack of patriotism. Oh, and also a sign of the problems with strident feminism.

Date: 2010-08-22 09:53 pm (UTC)The idea of Parker going back to being 1970s shlep again bugged me. That he made a deal with the MU devil Mephisto but was seen as a hero still... that upset me. Joe Q dumbing it down... 3 strikes, it's out of my reserve. Many others as well.
Marvel's loss was DC's gain -- WW aside.
