Not really sure what to say about this one. It seemed very rushed, despite being a 2 parter, and I am not sure whether what appeared to be some strange moments are actually just screw ups or whether they are things to be settled in part 2.

Not really sure what to say about this one.

How about "if you broke out a magnifying glass, you could probably still see the markings from where they filed the serial numbers off last year's Silurian 2-parter."

Heh.

I'm a little hesitant to fault them too much for that. "Small group locked in facility as monster attacks" is probably the single most common Doctor Who story of all time. It's basically the premise for half the show, if I ventured a random guess.

So it's not the premise, it is just the execution that bugs me.
