- An old article on informal power. I've always been fascinated by informal power since in many ways it is so much harder to deal with than formal power.
I got to shoot pool with R___, the woman who once knocked me out with a beer mug in a dive bar in Montreal. It is nice when the random guy in the poolhall remembers you from 3 years ago, and the bartender in the pub you wander into also calls you by name and asks where you've been for all this time.
