An Incendiary Blog Post

I missed this incendiary blog post when it came out last year, but it is all too true. Read the comment thread, especially.
Given that no one really reads my LJ or Dreamwidth anymore (and admittedly, I don't really post, either) that reminded me of the stylized rut writing in this format can so easily fall into.
I really do need to clear out my schedule and put together a professional site for my writing as well as one that is my assorted creative outlets (acting, photography, writing again, etc). Better still would be someone who is good at these things sitting down with me and helping me set them up so I can both learn to do it myself and not wreck it by trying to learn from a book. (I learn very well from people, I tend to learn terribly from books.)
Once that's accomplished, I will probably lay the LJ and Dreamwidth to rest.
