Wedding Photos
Jul. 28th, 2011 03:52 amSince I am off to the woods for the next little while, I leave you with some pics from the wedding last weekend.
The happy couple.

The son of the bride considers the concept of "The Crush"

We received a visit from teenaged Kirsten Dunst, who perhaps time-traveled here with the Doctor, although I noticed no TARDIS.

All Dressed Up... back again
Mar. 13th, 2011 10:29 pmSo it turns out Photoshop is an immensely complicated program that I haven't the slightest idea how to do anything in. I foolishly thought putting two halves of two pictures together would be straightforward. (Two shots, same couch, just put one on top of the other and reveal the right half of one and the left half of the other.)
I have no idea what commands to give the program to make it do this.
So this is the only thing going up tonight.

Auf der Maur
Mar. 12th, 2011 05:51 pmI went to the Melissa Auf der Maur show at La Tulipe last night.
It was part of the Festival Voix D'Ameriques. It was great (as one would expect) although you know I am likely to be fond of any piece that references Joseph Campbell, David Lynch, and a duet with a disembodied Danzig.
I tried getting pictures, but anyone who has taken a stab at concert photography knows how hard it is to get decent angles and decent light.

( More beneath the cut )
I'll try to put up some shots of "In the Pines" later. They were the opening act - a folksong project based on the poetry of Alice Notley, and very interesting.

Laura part 3
Jan. 30th, 2011 04:28 pmPenultimate set from the Laura shoots of last spring.
Some may remember an earlier post with this. I tweaked the white balance this time, although I do like the much warmer tone from earlier, too. (I'm open to both versions.)

( More under the cut. )
As always, there are more of the set on the Flickr page if you click through.

Laura last spring
Jan. 28th, 2011 12:33 amWent through last spring's shoots as Laura actually made it over. There's so much I would do differently in shooting her now. There was some fun to be found with stacking black and white filters, though. (As always, if you like one, click through to increase it's view count.)
