Tommy Gun in Hand
Mar. 28th, 2011 07:09 pmSometimes it pays to fight with the bank. And by "fight" I mean "politely explain why their policy makes no sense".
There is something satisfying about seeing the lovely young man in the suit squirm and say "Well, no, I can't actually justify that policy. We're just a very conservative bank."
ING talked to and settled, RBC talked to and settled. So that's that part anyway. I get to re-enter the modern online economy.
So now I just need to get rid of some of this insane backlog at work that's built up, take some time off, and transfer everything over to the new computer.
Speaking of which, who is willing to be paid to come and help me set up the new computer with the must-have programs I don't know about? I'd hate to just dump everything on the new machine and have it be a snarled mess right away.
