Gaming origin of Mythpunk

Anyone know the original game origin of the term "mythpunk"? I am quite curious now.

Probably Shadowrun, as it incorporated lots of urban fantasy elements. But back in the nineties, everyone was content to call it cyberpunk, even though it had elves and magic in it.

Oh, you want actual citations? That's different.

I think you'd be more interested in this thread. [livejournal.com profile] locke61dv created "MythPunk NOW!" because he thought 'mythpunk' was "a cool meme [he could] googledominate." He then linked to it on the Forge, which would have been the source of most of the Google hits in 2006. It doesn't look like it ever really had much of a meaning attached to it other than a brand attempt.

Forgot this: Internet Archive of MythPunk NOW! with a date of 1/3/2004, which is the current earliest citation. There might be something earlier in the Forge Archives, but I'm not sure.
