That wasn't what I expected.
So it was Boyd. I actually thought it wasn't halfway through the ep, but it became sort of inevitable. I'm still not sure why he inserted himself into the situation, although it seems it must have to do with Alpha as he shows up just afterwards. He heavily implies here that Echo was already intended to be "special" so I am wondering if this does have to do with testing for a future of perfect dollhood, without fear of composites or something.
