Weirdly, I can just about accept that part. I mean, I can hardly walk through the world without being aware of how what I wear affects people's reactions to me. I know an awful lot of people who use what they wear to make people react more positively to them. It's not that it doesn't bother me that we consider men to be so easily led*, and women to be so manipulative, but on the scale of things, it doesn't bother me as much as a lot of other stuff. I mean, the idea that we can't be good at anything except looking pretty is, as a whole, pretty abominable.
*I'm pretty sure this is the spelling even though everyone in the world seems to be using "lead" lately.
